Christine Mantakara, LAc, MAOM
Christine brings nine years of clinical experience and fifteen years of study to her practice at Worksong. A graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, she has studied Chinese, Japanese, and Five Element acupuncture styles as well as energy medicine and medical qigong.
Christine enjoys using her intuition and observational skills to craft the best course of treatment for every individual. Attention to detail is extremely important to her, and she strives to make sure each patient leaves Worksong with a greater sense of ease and well-being.
Chinese medicine is only one of Christine's interests. She is also a visual artist, a martial artist, and a certified instructor of PanGu Shengong, a form of qigong. Prior to coming to Chinese medicine, Christine was for many years a natural foods chef, and she still spends her summers as one of the head chefs at Camp Common Ground in Vermont. Last but not least, she is the mother of a teenage daughter. Christine maintains a practice at her home on the days she is not practicing at Worksong.
